We want to extend a warm invitation to every resident here to become a member of our Security Village. We believe that a safe and secure community is something that we can all contribute to and benefit from, and we would love for you to join us in this worthy endeavour. We are a non-profit organisation incorporated under Section 21, dedicated to serving our residents and ensuring their peace of mind.
After successfully implementing the road-closure, Brooklyn Village has, for over six years, enjoyed and demonstrated sustained, and drastically reduced crime in our area and served our residents well. As a member of our community, you have the opportunity to contribute to the needed continued security and welfare of our area, because we rely on monthly contributions from our members to keep our community safe. To reach a healthy target of 85% of contributing members we need your help. The standard monthly fee is R895.00 (incl. VAT) per home/living unit.
This fee goes towards:
• 24-hour access control at the main gate with control room monitoring/response - CSI and Ditaba;
• administration and financial services – Paxton, managing agents;
• maintenance & minor capital works;
• subsidizing of non-contributing residents.
We would like to note that the monthly fee does not cover private alarm monitoring and/or armed response – this provision to each owner’s preference. By becoming a member, you'll also have access to a range of resources and support that will benefit you, as we work together to sustain and improve the safety and well-being of all in our community.
We truly believe that the more neighbours we have on board, the stronger and more effective our efforts will be. So please, don't hesitate to sign up and help us make our Security Village the best it can be. We can't wait to work together with you!
